The UP Asian Center, together with the University of Pittsburgh, will be hosting an international conference, “New Asian Connectivities” on 12-13 December 2023, at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center. The event is by-invitation only.

The UP Asian Center, in partnership with UP CIFAL Philippines, will be hosting the public forum, “Leading Safe Spaces: The Role of Good Governance in Ending Violence Against Women” on 6 December 2023, 1:00 PM (GMT+8), at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium, University of the Philippines, Diliman. The event is free and open to the public.

The UP Asian Center, with the support of the Japan Foundation Manila, will hold a research writing workshop on 4 December 2023, 9:00 am (GMT+8), ONSITE at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, and on 6 December 2023 at Ateneo de Zamboanga University. The event is free and open to the public.

The UP Asian Center will host the online roundtable “The Israel-Hamas War: Views from Southeast Asia” on 2 December 2023, Saturday, 3 PM, PST (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

The UP Asian Center, together with the Areté and Tanghalang Ateneo of Ateneo De Manila University, will host a cultural performance, “Pesta Igal: A Celebration of Sama Dance and Music” on 22 November 2023, Wednesday, 7:00 PM (GMT+8) at the Hyundai Hall, Areté, Ateneo de Manila University. The show will go on despite the transport strike. The event is free and open to the public.
