Students of the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman were recognized for their outstanding academic performance and for their participation in national and international conferences at the 2015 Parangal sa Mag-Aaral held on Wednesday, 6 May 2015, UP Theater, University of the Philippines Diliman. 

Eight students of the Asian Center were recognized as University Scholars, having achieved a GWA average of 1.25 or better from the first semester of Academic Year 2013 to 2014 to the second semester of Academic Year 2014 to 2015.

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
