Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe that I do not want it.
Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far
and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.

The UP Asian Center and the National University (NU) Clark initiated a new academic partnership and discussed possible areas of collaboration on 4 June 2026 at the Asian Center, UP Diliman.

Officials from National University (NU) Clark visited the UP Asian Center to discuss the details of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UP Diliman and NU Clark.  Dean Noel Christian A. Moratilla and Dr. Jocelyn O. Celero met with Paul Anthony S. Balagtas, Coordinator of NU’s Internationalization Office, and Jessie S. Malibiran Jr., Program Chair of the Political Science Department, to explore joint activities for possible implementation.  Among the projects considered was the internship of NU Clark’s Political Science and Communication majors at the UP Asian Center,  a major component of the partnership expected to commence in July 2026.

The engagement took place on 4 December 2025 at NU Clark in Pampanga, following the 8th Japanese Studies Research Development Workshop series and the Asian Center Caravan held at the same venue.

The partnership between the two universities will cover various areas of mutual interest, including the implementation of an internship program for students, research and other collaborative projects, faculty immersion and training activities, resource sharing, and academic support.
