The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, will be hosting a fun day on 8 November 2015 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am at the UP Sunken Garden as part of the month-long celebration of its 60th Anniversary. This event is free and open to the public.

The Fun Sunday will begin with a parade of the participants at the UP Academic Oval, followed by a series of warm ups and team building activities. After which, games would follow, including:

  • Obstacle Course
  • Lawin/Sisiw
  • Egg Throwing
  • Agawang Buko  
  • Straw Relay

The Asian Center Fun Day will be held in commemoration of Typhoon Yolanda. This event is co-sponsored by the UP College of Human Kinetics, the Alpha Sigma Fraternity, Via Mare, and Manila Water Company, Inc.  Snacks will be provided by the organizers.

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
