Five (5) UP Asian Center faculty members received the 2023 UP Diliman Centennial Professorial Chairs and Faculty Grants in recognition of their research and mentoring efforts in the previous year. The awards were formally conferred during the University Council meeting on 16 October 2023. Below are the awardees from the UP Asian Center.

UP DILIMAN CENTENNIAL PROFESSORIAL CHAIR AND FACULTY GRANT AWARDS
The UPD Centennial Professorial Chair (PC) Awards and Faculty Grant (FG) Awards is given by the University of the Philippines in recognition of the work of faculty members who demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching, research or creative work, and public service. The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The UP Asian Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. It also offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
