The UP Asian Center now welcomes applications to its graduate programs on Asian Studies and on Philippines for the first semester, Academic Year 2019–2020, which starts in August 2019. Application period is from 1 April – 30 April 2019.

The UP Asian Center will be organizing a public lecture, International Marriages of Southeast Asian Women: Emerging Trends and Issues, on 8 April 2019, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, at the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The UP Samahan ng Mag-Aaral ng Asya (SAMA)—the student organization of the UP Asian Center—will be holding elections for its next batch of officers from 24 to 30 April 2019. Filing of candidacies runs from 27 March 2019 to 6 April 2019, and campaign period opens 8 April 2019 and ends 23 April 2019.

Asian Studies: Journal of Critical Perspectives on Asia, a peer-reviewed journal published since 1963 by the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, welcomes original contributions in the form of full-length research articles, reviews, commentaries and documents, literary writings, and travel narratives.

The China Book Center was launched at the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The China Book Center holds over 500 English publications on China, which will be made available to the public via the Asian Center library.
