    The UP Asian Center together with the University of the Philippines (UP) Office of the President, through the UP Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs—Office of Student Development Services (OVPAA-OSDS), and UP CIFAL Philippines will host the two-day capacity-building event, "Champions of Change and Innovation: UP Youth Summit on Sustainable Development Goals." The China Book Center was launched at the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The China Book Center holds over 500 English publications on China, which will be made available to the public via the Asian Center library.

The book, East Asian Popular Culture: Philippine Perspectives, is now available for download. Edited by Michiyo Yoneno-Reyes, it contains analyses of topics—such as books, films, television and personalities—that occupy a prominent place in the cultural production of countries in East Asia. The book was published in 2013 by the UP Asian Center.
