Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe that I do not want it.
Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far
and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.
"The Old Poets of China" by Mary Oliver

ONE UP PROFESSORIAL CHAIR AWARDS

The One UP Professorial Chair Grant Award aims to provide recognition and incentives to faculty members who demonstrate outstanding performance in two out of three work areas of the faculty: teaching, research or creative work, and public service (Source: Memorandum No. PDLC 22-11, One UP PC & FG Awards Guide).
The award was approved during the 1309th meeting of the UP Board of Regents held on 22 July 2015. A total of PhP 100 million per year will be allocated for the period January 2016 to December 2018 to approximately “800 professorial chair and faculty grants to be distributed by priority fields across all the Constituent Universities.” The Board approved the continuity of the awards subject to the availability of funds to encourage a higher standard of performance among the faculty (Source: Board of Regents 1309th Meeting, Memorandum No. PDLC 22-11).
