    The UP Asian Center together with the University of the Philippines (UP) Office of the President, through the UP Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs—Office of Student Development Services (OVPAA-OSDS), and UP CIFAL Philippines will host the two-day capacity-building event, "Champions of Change and Innovation: UP Youth Summit on Sustainable Development Goals." UP Asian Center and TriCollege alumni, Associate Professor Dr. Noel Christian A. Moratilla has been appointed Dean of the Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman for a term of three years from 29 October 2024 to 29 October 2027.

The UP Asian Center and the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation Transformative Leadership will convene the "Lecture Series of the 2024 Ramon Magsaysay Awardees" on 13 and 14 November 2024, 9 to 11 AM and 1 to 3 PM, at the Ramon Magsaysay Center, Malate, Manila. Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, in partnership with the UP Asian Center and other institutions, is staging Nanay Bangis as its first offering for its 47th theatre season from 15 November to 1 December 2024. Directed by J. William Herbert Sigmund Go and adapted by Rody Vera from Bertolt Brecht’s “Mother Courage and Her Children,” Nanay Bangis is the story of a mother who loses her children to the conflict between the MNLF and the Philippine army from 1971 to 1981.
