    UP Asian Center Professor Gonzalo A. Campoamor II, Ph.D., has been conferred the 2026 Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to the UP Diliman faculty for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields. The awarding ceremonies will be held on 8 May 2026, and can be watched live via the official UP Diliman website and YouTube Channel.

Carlos as the Center's new adjunct professor from June to January 2026. A Doctor of Economics and a Professor at the Ryukoku University Graduate School of International Studies in Kyoto, Japan,  Dr. Carlos joins the Center bringing her rich academic and professional background, which spans multiple countries and disciplines.
