    The UP Asian Center will be holding the onsite public lecture and exhibit "From Negatives to Narratives: The Analog Heritage of the Asian Centeron 23 February 2026, 1:00 - 3:30 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. As part of the UP Day of Remembrance 2024 commemoration, the UP Asian Center in partnership with OVCRD journals Humanities Diliman and Social Science Diliman and the UP President's Committee on Culture and the Arts will hold the hybrid public forum "Contesting Memories and Narratives of Philippine History in Social Media" on 14 October 2024, 9 AM, PHT (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room of the UP Asian Center and via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public. Online registration is required.

The UP Asian Center is now accepting applications for the January/February 2025 intake (Second Semester, Academic Year 2024-2025). The deadline for application is on 30 November 2024.

The UP Asian Center in partnership with FACTS Asia and the UP Department of Political Science will be hosting the roundtable, “The Philippines Amidst Major Power Rivalry in Southeast Asia” on 01 October 2024, 2:00 PM (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman. The event is by invitation only.

The UP Asian Center further expanded its academic network by collaborating with the Eurasia Center of John von Neumann University, Hungary. Last 9 September 2024, the two institutions conducted the international symposium “The Practice of Area Studies in the Philippines and Hungary” at the Seminar Room of the UP Asian Center.
