The UP Asian Center recently co-hosted the visit of former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Trans-Pacific Sustainability Dialogue 2025 at the University of the Philippines Diliman on 11 November 2025, the second day of the two-day Dialogue. Co-hosted and organized with the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) of Stanford University and the Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future, the first day of the Dialogue was held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati.

Eight (8) UP Asian Center faculty members were conferred the 2025 UP Diliman Centennial Professorial Chair and Faculty Grants Awards in recognition of their research and mentoring efforts in the previous year. The award was formally given during the University Council meeting in October 2025.

The UP Asian Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines will hold the onsite forum, "Republic of Korea-ASEAN Connectivity Forum: Advancing Regional Cooperation under the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship" on 20 November 2025, 9 AM to 12 PM (GMT+8), at the Ascott BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are required to register online and wait for CONFIRMATION OF SLOT.
