The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (CIDS), will hold the public forum "The Vietnam War and Its Impact on the Philippines and Its Social Movements: Commemorating the 50th Year of Vietnam's Reunification | A Public Forum" on 25 April 2025, 1:00 PM, PHT at the UP CIDS, Lower Ground Floor, Ang Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman. The event is free and open to the public. 

The UP Asian Center will hold the workshop "Mind Matters: A Mental Health Talk on Stress and Coping" on 25 April 2025, 3:00 PM, PHT at the Japan Hall, UP Asian Center. The event is free and open to the all AC students, faculty, and staff only. 

The AS 298 (Special Topics: Disasters in Asia) Class of Dr. Maria Cecilia T. Medina will hold the lecture "UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Philippines" on 25 April 2025, 1:00 PM, PHT (GMT+8), Seminar Room, UP Asian Center. The event is free and open to the public. 

The UP Asian Center will hold the online roundtable "Asia Under Pressure: Trump’s Economic Policies on Asian Economies" on 24 April 2025, 3:00 PM, PHT (GMT+8), online via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required. 

Asia’s Queen of Song, Ms. Pilita Corrales, passed away on 12 April 2025. Ms. Corrales was 85. During the 2023 Asia Concert: “Rasa Asia”, she was awarded the UP Asian Center’s 1st Asia Culture Award. Her daughter, Jackielou Blanco, received the award on her behalf on 26 November 2023 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium.
