    The UP TriCollege PhD Philippine Studies Program and the UP Asian Center will hold a Writing Bootcamp on 7 and 14 December 2024, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, PST (GMT+8) at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center. The event is FREE OF CHARGE.     The UP Asian Center in partnership with the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila will hold the forum "60 Years of Malaysia-Philippines Relations: Deepening Cooperation in a Dynamic World" on 5 December 2024, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The UP Asian Center in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer a free INTERMEDIATE Korean Language class to be held every Tuesday starting 27 August 2024 to 9 December 2024, via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to UP Asian Center students, those who have already taken their Elementary Korean Classes with AC, and selected UP students. The deadline for registration of AC Students and individuals who took Elementary Korean classes with AC is on 22 August 2024, 5:00 PM, PHT.  The deadline for registration for UP Students is on 25 August 2024, 11:59 PM.

The UP Asian Center is now accepting abstract submissions for the “Japanese Studies in the Philippines Research Development Competition: Year 7.” Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in Philippine Universities may submit any topic related to Japanese Studies can be submitted (except topics that focus solely on natural sciences, medical sciences, and engineering).

The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Office of Cultural Diplomacy of the Department of Foreign Affairs, is still accepting submissions for the 2024 international conference on Philippine Studies, Dialogo: Philippine Studies Goes Global. The deadline for submissions in English is on 22 July 2024. The NEW deadline for submissions in Filipino is on 9 August 2024.
