  • ANNYEONG! Free Online Beginner Korean Language Class @ UP Asian Center

    The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University, through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer free BEGINNER Korean Language classes, to be held every Saturday starting 22 August 2026, online via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to AC Korea Majors, Asian Center students, and UP students. The deadline for applications is 14 August 2026, 11:59 PM, PHT.

The UP Asian Center, in partnership with Stop the War Coalition, International Peace Bureau, and the UP CIDS-Alternative Development Program, will be hosting "Military Spending or Funding Our Future? A Multisectoral Forum on Peace and Human Security," on 15 May 2026, 2 - 5 PM, PHT, at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center. The event is free and open to the public. Asian Center Students were recognized for their outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements for 2025 during the "Parangal sa Mag-aaral 2026." As part of the Linggo ng Parangal 2026, the awarding ceremonies were held on 4 May 2026 at the University Theater, UP Diliman. 

The UP Asian Center, led by the AS 254 Class, will be holding the onsite Roundtable Discussion, "Re-imagining Early Southeast Asia: Debating the Origins and Development of Complex Societies in the Late Austronesian World," on 11 May 2026, 2:00 PM (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, Asian Center, UP Diliman. The event is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online.
