    The UP Asian Center and the Embassy of Vietnam in the Philippines will be hosting the onsite symposium, "From Neighbors to Partners: Celebrating 50 Years of Philippines-Vietnam Relations" on 18 August 2026, 2 PM, PHT, at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center.   • ANNYEONG! Free Online Intermediate Korean Language Class @ UP Asian Center

    The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University, through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer free BEGINNER Korean Language classes, to be held every Saturday starting 22 August 2026, online via Zoom. The UP Asian Center will be holding a seminar-workshop, Thriving at the Asian Center: Managing Pressure, Preventing Burnout, and Strengthening Workplace Relationships, on 23 April 2026, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), and 24 April 2026, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center. The event is exclusively for the Asian Center Staff.

The Asian Center Student Organization (ACSO) will be holding the online forum "Finishing Strong: A Thesis Survival Sessionon 23 April 2026, 6:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), Online via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public. 

The UP Asian Center will host the third installment of MCM Santamaria Book Collection Library Talks, "Exploring Japan Through the MCM Santamaria Collection: Selected Works on and from Japan," on 24 April 2026, 2 PM to 4 PM (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, Second Floor of the Hall of Wisdom, Asian Center, UP Diliman. The UP Asian Center will be holding the webinar "Crude Realities: Confronting the Oil Crisis in Asiaon 17 April 2026, 2:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), online via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public, but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

UP Asian Center Professor Gonzalo A. Campoamor II, Ph.D., has been conferred the 2026 Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to the UP Diliman faculty for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields. The awarding ceremonies will be held on 8 May 2026, and can be watched live via the official UP Diliman website and YouTube Channel.
