  • UP Asian Center Professor Siao Campoamor Awarded the Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino

    UP Asian Center Professor Gonzalo A. Campoamor II, Ph.D., was awarded the 2026 Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to the UP Diliman faculty for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields. The awarding ceremonies will be held on 8 May 2026, and can be watched live via the official UP Diliman website and Youtube Channel.

The UP Asian Center, with the support of the UP Diliman - Office of Initiatives for Culture and the Arts (OICA), is now accepting abstract submissions for the Onsite Academic Conference, “Intersecting Horizons: Flows and Encounters in Philippine Borderlands.” The deadline for submission is extended until 16 February 2026, Monday (Manila Time). The conference is open to all undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students in the Philippines. Participation in the conference is FREE.
