    The UP Asian Center in collaboration with the INHA Center for International Studies, UP Korea Research Center, and the UP Center for International Studies will host the special lecture, "Korean Studies in the Global South | A Special Lecture" on 29 August 2025, 3 PM to 5 PM (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, Asian Center, UP Diliman.   • Unwrapping Japanese Culture Through the Tenugui Textile | An Exhibit of Japanese Hand-Dyed Cloth

    The UP Asian Center is organizing the exhibit and curator's talk, “Unwrapping Japanese Culture Through the Tenugui Textile: An Exhibit of Japanese Hand-Dyed Cloth” on 20 August 2025, 1 PM to 3 PM (GMT+8), ONSITE at the UP Asian Center. The exhibit and a pop-up store will run from 18 to 23 August 2025, 11 AM to 5 PM at the UP Asian Center.  The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online.

The UP Asian Center will be holding the public lecture "Central Asian Regionalism: Connecting, Balancing, and Buffering" on 20 June 2025, 2:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman (ONSITE). The UP Asian Center will hold an Academic Programs Information Session on 30 June 2025, 3:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

The UP Asian Center, UP Center for International Studies, and the De La Salle University Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub are now accepting paper abstracts and panel submissions for the Hybrid International Conference on the Asian-African Conference of 1955, “Sejiwa: The Spirit of Bandung at 70.” The deadline for submissions is EXTENDED to 31 July 2025, 11:59 PM (Manila Time).

 The UP Asian Center proudly welcomes Dr. Maria Reinaruth D. Carlos as the Center's new adjunct professor from June to January 2026. A Doctor of Economics and a Professor at the Ryukoku University Graduate School of International Studies in Kyoto, Japan,  Dr. Carlos joins the Center bringing her rich academic and professional background, which spans multiple countries and disciplines.

The UP Asian Center, sponsored by the Bharati Indian Expat Women's Association Manila, will hosting the "Yoga and Meditation Day"  as part of the Asian Center Wellness Program on 29 May 2025, 10:00 AM, PHT (GMT+8), at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Diliman.
