The UP Asian Center will hold an Academic Programs Information Session on 14 November 2023, 2:00 PM, PST (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

The UP Asian Center, in partnership with UP CIFAL Philippines, UP Population Institute, Quezon City Public Employment Service Office, and the National Commission of Senior Citizens, will be hosting the public forum, “Migration, Ageing, and the Future of Care” on 25 October 2023, 1:00 PM to 4:15 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Lecture Hall 1, School of Statistics New Building, University of the Philippines, Diliman. The event is free and open to the public.

Five (5) UP Asian Center faculty members received the 2023 UP Diliman Centennial Professorial Chairs and Faculty Grants in recognition of their research and mentoring efforts in the previous year. The awards were formally conferred during the University Council meeting on 16 October 2023. Below are the awardees from the UP Asian Center.

The UP Asian Center will co-host the 7th NACAI International Symposium: Energy and Environment Nexus and the Future of the Asia-Pacific Region on 17 November 2023, at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium. The event is strictly by-invitation only.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines in partnership with the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Lomonosov Moscow State University will hold the online international conference, “Asia Today: Meaningful Change in the Post-Pandemic Transition” on 9 - 10 November 2023, 2 – 4 PM, (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
